Digital MicroscopyAn interactive hands-on workshop where participants get to look at all sorts of things up close. Often the excitement builds through the workshop as the students realise there is much more than meets the eye. Even seemingly mundane objects having amazing qualities under the microscope!
Building Bridges
What forces act within a bridge and how do engineers compensate for them within modern designs? This is a practical workshop where participants get to design and build their own bridges using hot glue guns and ice cream sticks. Specific content covers the differences between truss arrangements and how they influence bridge strength.
All workshops run from 10am to 12.00pm, unless stated otherwise (for example, if a second session is organised)
Bookings are essential as places are limited. Cost: $40 per NSWAGTC member child, $50 per non-member child.
Please Note: Due to our Duty of Care and OH&S requirements this workshop is not suitable for children under 7 years of age including younger siblings.
